Although not the largest in terms of sheer volume, it is definitely the best in terms of a balance between fact, impression and emotion. all very well done and the building itself is a brilliant display of how a museum absolutely needs a historically correct setting. Gisteren ben ik samen met een oude man uit de USA naar Bastogne gereden deze meneer zit in een hotel in Amsterdam en kwam via via bij mij terecht.
Met de vraag of hij naar Bastogne gebracht kon worden om het 1 en andere te zien en of ik hem wilde brengen.
Naar Bastogne gezocht op google en kwam terecht op site van 101 airborne museum le Mess - Bastogne eenmaal daar aangekomen zijn wij als echte vips behandelt door Carole en Sebastien die zomaar even hun vrije middag opgaven om ons echt van alles te laten zien.
We hebben echt genoten van alles wat zij voor ons hebben gedaan die middag ik zal zeker een keer terug komen.

Wij, 4 motorrijders, gaan uw museum in mei 2012 zéker bezoeken.
Het is erg belangrijk dat de aandacht voor de opofferingen van de bevrijders niet gaat verloren. Zij gaven erg veel, of alles op, voor onze vrijheid.
We hebben de afgelopen jaren reeds zeer veel bezocht dat betrekking heeft op de 2e WO en dit museum, opgericht door Nederlandse mensen, hoort daar 'gewoon'bij. Veel succes !!

We enjoyed visiting your museum on opening weekend. My father served with the 10th Armored Division at Bastogne and we were in town for the dedication of the 10th Armored plaque on the road to the Mardasson. I particularly enjoyed seeing some of the 10th Armored artifacts in your museum. Thanks for helping to preserve the history of the battle. |
